Milutis Films is run by Tara Milutis – an American filmmaker, journalist and multimedia producer based between Bangkok, Istanbul and New York. Specializing in documentaries, news, and videos and animations for the aid and development sector, she also has over a decade of experience working in television, feature film and commercial video production. She has an extensive network of crew, fixers, translators, animators and composers in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the U.S., and has produced, directed and shot a diverse variety of media across the globe.
As a video journalist she covered the most recent political crisis and coup d'état in Thailand, and through various film projects she has given a voice to Black Zone communities in Karen State who have been victimized by the Burmese civil war. She continues to shoot political, human rights and human interest stories around the world, and her film for UN Women on a domestic migrant worker in Bangkok screened at the UN General Assembly in New York for the first-ever summit for refugees and migrants. She's a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University.
